A ridge once again brings mainly settled weather to the South Island tonight, southeasterlies ease over the North Island. Mainly dry out west although heavy showers about eastern Waikato / western Bay Of Plenty clear this evening, showers continue along the east coast.

Northland

Mainly clear skies, south to southwesterly winds ease overnight.

Tonight’s Lows: 6-8

Auckland

Areas of cloud break away this evening, mainly clear skies overnight. South to southwesterly winds ease.

Tonight’s Low: 7

Bay Of Plenty

Skies becoming clear this evening, about western Bay Of Plenty isolated
showers some of which may be heavy clear this evening. Light south to
southeasterly winds.

Tonight’s Lows: 8-9

Waikato & Central North Island

Areas of cloud breaking away this evening to mainly clear skies, south to
southeasterly winds. Isolated showers about eastern Waikato some of which may be
heavy clear this evening.

Tonight’s Lows: 5-6

Eastern North Island

Showers easing overnight, southeasterlies.

Tonight’s Lows: 9-10

Western North Island

Cloudy periods with southeasterly winds, chance of a brief spit or two this
evening otherwise dry. Mainly clear skies about Taranaki with gusty south to
southeasterly winds easing overnight.

Tonight’s Lows: 7-8

Wellington

Periods of cloud with east to southeast winds.

Tonight’s Low: 7

Nelson

Clear skies, light winds.

Tonight’s Lows: 3

Marlborough

Periods of cloud with east to southeast winds, easing overnight.

Tonight’s Low: 3

Canterbury

Mainly clear skies this evening with light winds inland, brisk easterlies
near the coast ease this evening. A few clouds about overnight especially Banks
Peninsula northwards.

Tonight’s Low: 0

West Coast

Clear skies with light winds.

Tonight’s Lows: 2-3

Coastal Otago

Clear skies, some high cloud develops overnight. Light winds.

Tonight’s Low: 4

Central Otago

Clear skies, some high cloud develops overnight. Light winds.

Tonight’s Lows: 0-1

Southland

Clear skies, some high cloud develops overnight. Light north to
northwesterly winds.

Tonight’s Low: 2
