A west to southwesterly airflow lies over the country tonight with showers for many, dry areas too especially the North Island’s east coast.

Auckland & Northland

Cloudy periods with occasional showers, showers becoming less frequent overnight with long dry spells developing. Breezy westerlies.

Tonight’s Lows: 11-12

Bay Of Plenty

Periods of cloud with breezy westerlies, the odd shower may pass through at times.

Tonight’s Lows: 11-12

Waikato & Central North Island

Periods of cloud with occasional showers, dry spells too espesially in the
east. Westerly winds.

Tonight’s Lows: 8-10

Eastern North Island
Mostly clear skies with west to northwest winds.

Tonight’s Lows: 9-11

Western North Island

Cloudy periods with brisk westerlies, occasional showers.

Tonight’s Lows: 11-12

Wellington

Periods of cloud with northwesterly winds, the odd shower possible. Winds
change southerly towards dawn tomorrow with a greater risk of showers.

Tonight’s Low: 10

Nelson

Periods of cloud with west to southwest winds.

Tonight’s Low: 8

Marlborough

Northwesterly winds ease this evening, mainly clear skies. About southern
Marlborough and about the coast south of Clifford Bay expect cloudier
skies.

Tonight’s Lows: 6-7

Canterbury

Cloudy periods with southwesterly winds. Chance of a shower, mainly
overnight. Parts of inland North Canterbury may remain fairly dry through the
night.

West Coast

Showers with breezy west to southwest winds.

Tonight’s Low: 9

Coastal Otago

Cloudy periods with breezy southwesterlies, the odd shower, mainly north of
Dunedin.

Tonight’s Low: 7

Central Otago

Occasional showers clearing later this evening, cool southwesterlies ease
overnight with cloud then breaking.

Tonight’s Lows: 2-3

Southland

Occasional showers clear this evening, breezy southwesterlies ease
later.

Tonight’s Low: 7
