An anticyclone brings clear skies to the South Island again tonight, light winds and frosty conditions likely. For the North Island an easterly quarter airflow persists bringing areas of cloud, especially in the east and to the far north.

Periods of cloud with easterly winds, the odd shower at times mainly in the east.

Auckland

Mainly clear skies with light winds.
Tonight’s Low: 9

Bay Of Plenty

Areas of cloud with light east to southeaterly winds.
Tonight’s Low: 9

Waikato & Central North Island

Cloudy areas with light winds tending easterly, skies clearer about the
Waikato especially in the north.
Tonight’s Lows: 3-5

Eastern North Island

Mostly cloudy with south to southeasterly winds, the odd light shower about
becoming restricted to Gisborne northwards overnight. Clear spells about the
Wairarapa.
Tonight’s Lows: 6-8

Western North Island

Periods of cloud with easterly winds, easing a little overnight. Skies
mostly cloudy north of Wanganui.
Tonight’s Lows: 5-8

Wellington

Clear spells with light southeasterlies easing this evening and tending a
little more easterly.

Nelson

Clear skies with light winds.
Tonight’s Low: 3

Marlborough

Clear spells with light winds.

Mainly clear skies, light winds.
