An anticyclone brings mainly settled conditions across the country tonight, although west to southwest winds strong about western parts of the North Island and lower South Island ease this evening.

Clear spells and some cloud, strong southwesterlies gradually ease this
evening.
Tonight’s low: 13-15

Central North Island, Waikato
& Bay Of Plenty

Mainly clear skies tonight although expect some cloud in the west of the
Central North Island and Waikato. West to southwest breezes ease this
evening.
Tonight’s lows: 8-13

Eastern North Island

Clear areas and some cloud, east to southeast winds ease overnight.
Tonight’s lows: 11-12

Western North Island

Clear spells, areas of cloud for others. Cloud breaking up overnight
however. West to southwest winds ease this evening.
Tonight’s low: 11-12

Wellington

Mainly clear skies with southerlies easing overnight.
Tonight’s lows: 11-12

Nelson

Mainly clear skies with strong southwesterlies easing this evening.
Tonight’s lows: 9-10

Marlborough

Mainly clear skies with easterlies easing this evening.
Tonight’s lows: 8-9

Canterbury

Cloudy areas with southerly breezes easing, chance of a drizzle patch
otherwise mainly dry. Cloud breaks up overnight.

West Coast

Mainly clear skies tonight, areas of cloud about Buller clear this evening.
Light winds.
Tonight’s lows: 9-10

Coastal Otago

Mainly clear skies tonight although expect some cloud south of about
Dunedin to clear overnight. Strong southwesterlies ease this evening.

Central Otago

Mainly clear skies with west to southwest winds easing this evening.
Tonight’s lows: 6-7

Southland

Clear spells increasing this evening, mainly clear skies overnight. Strong
westerly winds ease.
