An anticyclone keeps conditions fairly calm about the North Island and upper South Island overnight, winds will be light although expect plenty of cloud. Rain moves onto southern parts of the West Coast overnight as a front draws near.

breezes ease.

breezes.
Areas of cloud overnight, especially high cloud. Northerlies ease this
