The Fiji Meteorological Service has this afternoon officially announced that Tropical Cyclone Atu has formed near Vanuatu.
The cyclone is still moving slowly at a walking speed of 7km/h, which is double what it was this morning.
Winds remain sustained around 64km/h with gusts to 83km/h and the cyclone is intensifying.

Unfortunately due to the misprint in the almanic I can’t determine which system this was forecast to be. The cyclone watch for February appears to say a low will drift around between the 10th and 28th (3 weeks)

Turn to p88, you’ll see the page headed “Cyclone watch”: what is listed for the 22nd-28th is the cyclone that is happening now.
