VIDEO: Tracking rainmakers around NZ and Australia

> From the WeatherWatch archives

We’re monitoring 3 main areas of low pressure in our part of the world with today hopefully the final day of rain across the eastern North Island (giving way to showers and much longer dry spells in the days ahead).

A big low in the Tasman Sea will bring flooding risks to eastern Australia before moving towards NZ this weekend and weakening – but bringing a few showers and cooler air in to dry Southland.

We have the forecast through until Sunday.
