TOUGH OL’ PLANE BRAVES TOUGH WINDS

Taken yesterday (Saturday) as DC3 – ZK AMY was preparing to taxi onto the runway at Invercargill airport despite the gale force winds.  Gusts around 100km/h were recorded in Southland yesterday.

The plane was in Invercargill as part of a South Island Heartland Tour and taking sightseers for short flights. The plane is based in Ashburton.
