The weather across the country is varied at the moment, with high pressure mostly centred over the North Island and central part of the country. Further south a northerly flow is moving over the South Island and that means hotter weather in the east – and some rain or showers in the west.
Southland and parts of Otago may also see some wet weather overnight today – but looks to be mostly around Fiordland and South Westland in the coming days.
Meanwhile, the lower North Island is increasingly drying out – with no rain on the horizon.
