High pressure is well and truly starting to influence New Zealand’s weather, as most of the country experiences calm, sunny conditions across the day on Thursday.

Rainmakers sit at either end of New Zealand, however, with rain set to move onto the northern North Island, while showers hang on around the lower South Island too.
