Here’s what is making the weather headlines today…..

RAIN WEST COAST TONIGHT

A warm front pushing in from the Tasman Sea brings rain to the West Coast tonight, by dawn on Friday heavy falls are possible.

WARM IN THE EAST AND ESPECIALLY NORTH

Warm temperatures for the east of the country today, warmth returns to the east of the South Island after cloud cover yesterday kept temperatures down a touch.

The eastern North Island and Northland is where it will be warmest with highs likely to be in the mid twenties.
