A mainly settled day across the country thanks to high pressure, perhaps a few fog patches morning and night especially for the North Island.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Mostly sunny, fog morning and night Auckland through into the Waikato and inland Bay Of Plenty. Northland has partly cloudy skies with the odd shower especially in the east. East to northeasterly winds.
Highs: 19 – 23

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Morning fog or low cloud then sunny spells, fog may form again at night especially inland. Light winds tend west to northwest in the afternoon.
Highs: 18 – 21

Eastern North Island

Mostly sunny, afternoon clouds especially about the ranges. East to northeasterly winds from midday, dying out later on. Northwesterlies for Wairarapa.
Highs: 21 – 23

Wellington

Sunny, northerly winds pick up in the afternoon.
Highs: 16 – 18

Marlborough & Nelson

Sunny, afternoon north to northeasterly winds.
Highs: 18 – 21

Canterbury

A chance of morning cloud or fog then mostly sunny, afternoon east to northeasterly winds.
Highs: 17 – 23

West Coast

Partly cloudy, morning showers for Fiordland clear. Mostly sunny for Buller with a chance of fog morning and night. West to southwesterly winds.
Highs: 13 – 21

Southland & Otago
Any morning cloud breaks then mostly sunny, there will be some high cloud. Northwesterlies pick up in the afternoon blustery for coastal Southland. Afternoon east to northeasterly winds for coastal Otago.
Highs: 17 – 23
