Mainly settled for most of New Zealand today thanks to high pressure, a weak front brings a few showers to the West Coast.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Mist or fog possible morning and night, mainly inland away from the coast. Mostly sunny by day with a touch of high cloud. Light winds tending southwest. Afternoon sea breezes possible along the eastern coastline.
Highs: 23-25

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Mist or fog possible morning and night, mostly sunny otherwise with a touch of high cloud. Kapiti is a bit cloudier during the day with the chance of a shower. Light winds tend westerly in the afternoon.
Highs: 20-23

Eastern North Island

Sunny, a touch of high cloud. Light winds tend east to northeast in the afternoon.
Highs: 24-25

Wellington

Partly cloudy, chance of a shower or spit in the north (upper Hutt etc). Northerly winds.
Highs: 21-23

Marlborough & Nelson

Mostly sunny, a few afternoon clouds. Light northerlies.
Highs: 25-28

Canterbury

Mostly sunny, a few afternoon clouds. Light winds tend east to northeast in the afternoon.
Highs: 24-28

West Coast

Occasional showers, clearing in the evening. Buller especially inland Buller may stay dry all day. Skies mostly cloudy but sun starts to break through in the afternoon. Light winds.
Highs: 20-24

Southland & Otago
Mostly sunny, some cloud from afternoon as northwesterlies tend a little more to the west. East to northeast winds for coastal Otago after midday.
Highs: 23-28
