Cloudy areas north of Auckland with light winds swinging south to southwesterly in the afternoon, a few isolated showers moving through possibly heavy at times. Temperatures once again around 16 degrees. Rain on the east coast of the North Island clears north of Hawkes Bay in the afternoon as southeasterlies ease, rain will continue for most of the day about the lower North Island with cool southeasterlies, showers may move into southern Taranaki after dark. Mostly fine and sunny about other areas in the north with light winds after a foggy start.

Cloudy areas about Southland tomorrow with the chance of a few morning showers, light winds. Cloudy skies from the Otago Coastline north through to Marlborough with rain or drizzle, slightly heavier rain about Marlborough with breezier southeasterlies there. Mostly sunny with some cloud about Central Otago and on the West Coast with light winds after a cold start. High’s in the high single figures for most areas, the West Coast should get into the low teens however.
