A front moves off the top of the South Island this morning then moves over the North Island this afternoon, this front will likely bring a few showers to most regions it passes over. Gradually becoming settled about the lower South Island.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Areas of cloud and the odd shower, mainly afternoon. Breezy southwesterly winds.
Highs: 14-16

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

A few morning showers clear then afternoon sunny areas develop, southwesterly winds die out in the evening.
Highs: 13-14

Eastern North Island

A mostly sunny start then southwesterlies freshen mid to late morning bringing cloud and the risk of a few showers.
Highs: 13

Wellington

Cloudy areas with breezy southerly winds, chance of a shower otherwise dry.
High: 11

Marlborough & Nelson

Mostly sunny with gentle southwesterly winds.
Highs: 13-14

Canterbury

Chance of an early shower then cloud decreases during the day, southwesterly winds ease.
High: 11

West Coast

A few early showers clear then becoming mostly sunny, light west to southwesterly breezes.
Highs: 11-12

Southland & Otago

Cloudy areas, chance of a shower mainly morning otherwise dry, becoming mostly sunny in the morning about inland Otago. West to southwesterly winds
