A mainly settled and sunny day across most of New Zealand today thanks to a high pressure system.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Sunny with light winds after a cold start. Northern parts of Northland may see a shower or two however in a southeasterly airflow.
Highs: 14-16

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

Mostly sunny with light winds. A cold start inland.
Highs: 12-15

Eastern North Island

Any early cloud breaks away then mostly sunny with gentle southwesterly winds dying away in the evening. There is a chance though that Mahia Peninsula and the Gisborne coastline could still see the odd coastal shower till evening then clearing.
Highs: 14-15

Wellington

Sunny with light winds.
High: 13

Marlborough & Nelson

A cold start then sunny with light winds.
Highs: 13-14

Canterbury

A cold start then sunny with light winds.
High: 13

West Coast

Mostly sunny with light winds, some cloud late afternoon or evening.
Highs: 13

Southland & Otago

Any morning cloud clears to sunny weather, light winds.
Highs: 7-11
