Rain about the lower South Island eases to showers this morning, a few showers may creep into inland Canterbury / Marlborough this afternoon and evening. For the North Island mainly dry with west to southwest winds in the west and afternoon easterlies in the east.

Mostly sunny weather, light southwesterlies pick up a little in the
afternoon.

Waikato, Central North Island & Bay Of Plenty
Mostly sunny weather with light southwesterly breezes. Winds may tend more
northerly in the afternoon for the Bay Of Plenty.

Eastern North Island
Mostly sunny with light winds in the morning, afternoon easterly
winds.
Highs: 24-25
Western North Island
Mostly sunny with westerly winds, perhaps a little more cloud about morning
and night. Winds a little breezier about Taranaki with a little more cloud
about.
Mostly sunny with northwesterly winds tending southerly in the
afternoon.
High: 22
Marlborough & Nelson
Mostly sunny with light winds in the morning, east to northeast winds from
afternoon. Isolated showers are possible inland late afternoon / evening.
Sunny first thing then cloud increases during the morning as winds tend
southeasterly. Perhaps a few isolated showers in the afternoon / evening mainly
inland.
Mostly cloudy skies with west to southwest winds, rain about Fiordland and
South Westland easing in the afternoon and mostly clearing by evening. Just the
odd brief shower possible about North Westland for a time in the afternoon
otherwise mainly dry.

Coastal Otago
Morning showers, possibly heavy then easing and mostly clearing around
midday. Isolated showers may remain through the afternoon / evening just inland
from the coast. Light winds tend easterly during the afternoon.

Central Otago
Showers, one or two of which may be heavy ease afternoon then mostly
clearing in the evening. Winds fairly light.
Morning rain eases to showers which clear in the evening, southerly
breezes.
