Auckland & Northland
Sunny spells at first with west to northwesterly winds freshening, a midday
southwest change brings showers possibly heavy with thunderstorms and hail then
easing evening.
Highs: 16-17

Bay Of Plenty

Sunny spells with light southwesterlies, isolated afternoon showers
possibly heavy.
High: 17

Central North Island & Waikato

Periods of cloud with light winds in the morning. Afternoon showers
possibly heavy, especially about southern parts of the Central North Island with
hail then clearing in the evening. Winds tend SW in the afternoon.
Highs: 13-16

Eastern North Island

Showers and cool west to southwesterly winds, some rain about southern
Hawkes Bay and the Wairarapa in the morning possibly heavy then easing early
afternoon.
Highs: 13-14

Western North Island

Cloudy with rain, possibly heavy for a time. Cool south to southwesterly
winds.
High: 13

Wellington

Brisk to strong southerly winds with cloudy skies and occasional showers,
especially afternoon onwards.
High: 12

Nelson

Sunny spells with light southerlies, late afternoon / evening there could
be isolated showers especially inland about the ranges.
Highs: 16-17

Marlborough

Periods of cloud with cool southerly winds, chance of a shower late
afternoon / evening.

Canterbury

Periods of cloud with southerly winds, chance of a shower about otherwise
dry.

West Coast

Mostly sunny with light winds, a few isolated showers possible about the
ranges of late afternoon / evening otherwise dry.

Morning cloud breaks to afternoon sunny spells, light southerlies tend
easterly in the afternoon.

Mostly sunny with light southeasterly winds, cloud a little more frequent
in the east.
