Bay Of Plenty

Becoming sunny this morning, southwesterlies tend westerly this afternoon
then ease. Late evening cloud develops.
Highs: 12-13

Waikato & Central North Island

Sunny spells with cold west to southwest winds, cloud thickens overnight.
The odd shower about northern Waikato gradually clearing this morning.
Highs: 9-11

Eastern North Island

Becoming mostly sunny in the morning with any early showers clearing
(mainly about the Wairarapa), cold southwesterlies ease. Cloud moves in again
overnight.
Highs: 12-13

Taranaki

Periods of cloud with southwesterly winds, the odd shower with long dry
spells too. Winds tend more southerly overnight.
Highs: 11-12

Western North Island

Becoming sunny early this morning, westerly winds. Cloud develops late
afternoon then a few showers move in evening with winds tending southwest.
Highs: 11

Wellington

Becoming mostly sunny this morning, cool south to southwesterly winds.
Chance of a shower or two around midnight.
Highs: 9-10

Marlborough & Nelson

Mostly sunny with light southwesterlies, southwesterlies freshen overnight
with some cloud and the chance of a shower.
Highs: 10-11

Canterbury

Mostly sunny with cool southwesterlies, showers move in overnight with a
few snow flurries to 500m near the coast (i.e. Banks Peninsula).
Highs: 9-10

West Coast

Mostly sunny with light winds.
High: 8

Coastal Otago

Periods of cloud with the odd wintry shower and brief snow flurry to 400m,
dry spells too. Cold southwesterlies.
Highs: 6-7

Central Otago

Sunny spells with light southwesterlies, a few brief evening wintry showers
and snow flurries to 500m (mainly in the south) then clearing.
Highs: 3-5

Southland

Early showers clear then expect periods of cloud with westerly winds. Mid
to late afternoon winds tend southwest, a few showers and snow flurries to 500m
move in during the evening then clear overnight
High: 6
