A ridge provides mainly settled weather over the country tonight, it will get quite cool about inland areas. A low in the Tasman Sea spreads some thin high cloud over New Zealand.

Auckland & Northland
Mainly clear with some high cloud moving in overnight, light winds.
Tonight’s Lows: 9-11

Bay Of Plenty

Clear skies, southwesterlies ease this evening.
Tonight’s Low: 9

Waikato & Central North Island

Mainly clear skies with light winds, chance of a fog patch or two
overnight. Some high cloud may move in overnight too.
Tonight’s Lows: 1-3

Eastern North Island

Mainly clear skies with light southwesterlies, some cloud about the
Wairarapa gradually moves away.
Tonight’s Lows: 6-7

Western North Island

Mainly clear skies, light winds. Light westerlies about Taranaki ease this
evening. A little high cloud moves in overnight.
Tonight’s Lows: 5-6

Wellington

Mainly clear skies with southerlies easing away this evening, further cloud
moving in around dawn.
Tonight’s Low: 9

Nelson

Mainly clear skies, perhaps a touch of high cloud overnight. Light
winds.
Tonight’s Lows: 6-7

Marlborough

Clear skies with easterlies easing this evening, a little high cloud
overnight with the chance of a fog patch or two.
Tonight’s Lows: 3-4

Canterbury

Mainly clear with some high cloud, a few fog patches possible. Low cloud
near the coast with easterlies.
Tonight’s Lows: 5-7

West Coast

Areas of cloud increasing overnight, drizzle or light showers about
Fiordland by dawn. Northeasterly winds gradually increase.
Tonight’s Lows: 7-8

Coastal Otago

Some high cloud with northeasterly winds.
Tonight’s Lows: 7-8

Southland & Central Otago

High cloud with light northeasterly winds.
Tonight’s Lows: 3-4
