A ridge of high pressure keeps the South Island fairly settled tonight, for the North Island a low pressure system brings an east to southeasterly airflow. Expect cloud to spread south over the Island overnight with showers in certain areas.

Northland

Mostly cloudy with brisk east to southeast breezes, areas of rain or showers especially in the east.

Tonight’s Lows: 16-18

Auckland

Cloudy areas with brisk easterly breezes, chance of the odd shower mainly about
northern parts of Auckland.

Tonight’s Lows: 17

Central North Island, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Clear spells and some cloud, cloud thickens overnight with the odd shower
moving into the Bay Of Plenty and perhaps the Waikato by dawn. East to southeast
breezes.

Tonight’s Lows: 12-16

Eastern North Island

Mostly cloudy with southeasterly breezes, the odd drizzle patch at times.
Mainly dry about the Wairarapa.

Tonight’s Lows: 13-14

Taranaki

Clear skies this evening but some cloud moves in overnight with the odd shower possible by dawn, southeasterly
breezes.

Tonight’s Lows: 12-13

Western North Island

Mainly clear with a few clouds moving in overnight, breezy southeasterlies
ease a little this evening.

Tonight’s Lows: 11

Wellington

Clear spells with southeasterlies easing this evening.

Nelson

Mainly clear skies with easterlies easing this evening.

Tonight’s Low: 9-11

Marlborough

Mainly clear skies with easterlies easing this evening, there may be some
cloud move in overnight.

Canterbury

Mainly clear skies, sea breezes about coastal areas easing this evening.
Light winds overnight.

West Coast

Mainly clear skies, sea breezes ease this evening.

Tonight’s Lows: 10-11

Coastal Otago

Clear skies, easterlies ease this evening.

Tonight’s Low: 11

Southland & Central Otago

Mainly clear skies with south to southeasterly breezes easing this
evening.
