Thick fog stops flights at Tauranga Airport

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Flights in and out of Tauranga Airport have been delayed because of thick fog.

Several residents in the Bay of Plenty have woken to heavy mist and haze, this morning.

An Air New Zealand flight ready to land at the terminal is circling overhead, waiting for fog to clear.

Airport Manager Ray Dumble says it’s also affected outbound flights, so travellers can expect some delays.
