Updated every 60 seconds the live lightning detector is free for you to use, to help track thunderstorms right around New Zealand.  In fact the detector is so powerful it can even pick up strikes in the middle of the Tasman Sea!

The Lightning Detector is pretty quiet at the moment, but keep checking back – we’re now entering the 6 month lightning season as we slip in to late Autumn, Winter and Spring!
