Thursday looks like the last day of the southwesterlies, and an end to the cool (and extreme) weather we’ve seen this week.
This may not last long however, as another system lies in wait for the end of the weekend, but for Thursday it’s looking calmer and more settled.
Easing southwesterly winds will be the feature of the day, meaning different outlooks once again for the east and west side of both islands.
Cloud and any remaining shower activity should clear from the east, while it will stay calm, settled and mostly sunny in the west.
A few showers may linger about Auckland and Northland though, as well as parts of North Westland on the West Coast down south towards late afternoon and into the evening.

Hi WW team,
What is happening with that little mischief TC ‘Nathan’? I see he has been hugging Australia while big mamma Pam has been rampaging across the globe . . . little woos.

Nathan is no where near us so we won’t have to deal with it, looks to slowly move across northern Australia between now and next week.
Aaron 🙂
