The highs and the lows

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Temperatures around New Zealand today ranged between mid single figures up to the high teens.  So where are the warmest places to be and where do you need to rug up?

In the North at 3pm Gisborne was sitting at a very pleasant 19 degrees with Whangarei on 18.

In the South, Nelson was sitting at a nice 16 degrees.

And the places where the winter woollies would come in handy?

Waiouru’s currently on 6 degrees with Kaikoura on 9.  And with a southerly wind blowing I imagine it feels a whole lot colder!

Well, when to you think this will all end and we get some settled weather for a change? so far nearly every week for the past 3 weeks at least! – we’d had stormy weeks and weekends.. I see very little improvement in maps and computer images that I have access too in the next coming week and into the following. Roll on Summer.. Do you think we will get a settled labour weekend??

October certainly has been a messy month and it still appears quite changeable with the long weekend looming but perhaps a little milder in central areas.

Cheers
