While most of New Zealand looks set to have a dry Christmas Day a potential low/rainmaker in the north is one to monitor. The low is connected to a few other systems which will drag rain in this weekend to the country from the north west of NZ. On Christmas Eve a new low may move in around Bay of Plenty (offshore) and hug the north east corner of the North Island as we head into Christmas Day.
It’s all down to the Tasman Sea high and whether or not it can push the low away in time for a sunny/dry December 25th.
But main regions in northern NZ may just want to be aware rain or showers are possible…but still we are not ready to lock in where, for long long and how much. We have daily weather video updates on Friday so check back for more.
