OVERVIEW
Temperatures were fairly close to average, if not a little above, in some northern and central areas of the North Island today but the rest of the country didn’t fare so well on the that front, with many areas 2 or 3 degrees below normal, mainly due to the remnants of a cool southerly that have affected some parts of the nation in the last 48 hours.
