A southwesterly airflow spreads over New Zealand this evening / overnight bringing cool temperatures, especially for the South Island where parts of Canterbury may dip 4 to 6 degrees below normal. Not all that bad for the North Island with lows in the main centres of between 13 to 15 degrees.
The southwesterly airflow continues tomorrow with temperatures mostly average, cooler then normal for some coastal spots. The MacKenzie Basin and Bay Of Plenty should fair a little better. Coastal Southland and coastal Otago are the coolest spots with temperatures ranging from 13 to 15 degrees.
