Average to above average highs for most of the South Island, conditions are fairly sedate with no extreme weather occurring. A southwest change slips up the east coast of the South Island bringing the risk of a shower or drizzle patch starting out about Southland / Otago in the afternoon then reaching Canterbury during the evening / overnight.
