Overnight temperatures in the low to mid teens for many parts of the North Island tonight. A little cooler tonight for the South Island but still warmer than normal for most especially in the west. A slight lull in wind speeds and mainly clear skies bring lows getting down to about 4 to 5 degrees for Central Otago and Canterbury.
Northwesterlies bring warm temperatures to eastern regions on Thursday, highs getting into the late teens or early twenties.
