The airflow is tending more to the north on Saturday as can be seen in the map below with a boost in highs for most regions. Temperatures above normal for most places, 8 degrees plus above normal for some South Island areas. Expect tomorrow’s top temperatures to be around 23 to 24 degrees about inland spots east of the Main Divide in the South Island, also about inland Buller.
The north to northwest airflow builds overnight Saturday, this shows with a warm night expected, temperatures staying above double figures for most. Perhaps not dropping below the mid teens for some.
