New Zealand is still stuck in a southwesterly airflow tonight but it will have eased from the windy conditions that most have been plagued by today. Expect colder then average overnight lows for most, conditions particularly cold about southern parts of both islands.
Not the warmest day on record for tomorrow either, but there is a ray of hope coming for Southland as temperatures start to warm up a touch with the airflow tilting a little more to the west or northwest. But it is just a ray, or strand if you will, temperatures won’t be hot that’s for sure.
