A light frost this morning about inland parts of Otago and Fiordland. Cool temperatures can be expected about the South Island today with highs ranging from 11 to 15 degrees, Nelson and Marlborough and inland Buller may crack into the late teens. The North Island has highs from the mid to late teens although parts of Northland may see 20 degrees.
Overnight tonight expect temperatures to dip down to between 6 to 13 degrees for the North Island, the coldest temperatures being about the Central Plateau and the warmest overnight lows about coastal Northland. The South Island dips down to -1 tonight about Central Otago rising up to 7 degrees for coastal parts of North Westland.
