Average to warm temperatures for New Zealand today as a weak but broad anticyclone brings settled conditions. The warmest day time highs will likely be for Auckland and Northland getting into the early 20’s, the coolest highs today are likely for Southland, Otago and parts of the West Coast sitting around the mid teens.

Not particularly cold overnight tonight, most of New Zealand has average overnight lows for this time of year. The coolest spot as could be expected is looking to be about Central Otago with 5 degrees, the warmest overnight lows will likely be about Wellington and Kaitaia on 14 degrees.
