A cool southwesterly airflow lies over New Zealand today, a front pushes off the upper South Island this morning and onto the North Island.
Average temperatures for the upper North Island today although it may feel cool in a southwesterly wind that freshens up this afternoon in the west. Getting a bit chilly for the lower half as a cold front makes it’s presence felt.
Average to cool temperatures for the eastern South Island today meanwhile in the west conditions are fairing better with sunny skies likely after any morning cloud clears, average to slightly above average temperatures for the time of year this afternoon.
