A westerly airflow brings warm temperatures to New Zealand today, especially in the east and for Auckland / Northland. Getting a little muggy today also for some parts of the upper North Island. The warmest temperatures today will be about Hawkes Bay reaching 22-23 degrees.
A warm night ahead of the North Island and some parts of the upper South Island, still quite muggy and humid for upper North Island regions. The warmest overnight lows will be for Northland at 18 degrees while the coolest with naturally be about the far south, 6 degrees for Invercargill.
