Warmer than average temperatures expected for New Zealand today, the east coast of both Islands and most of the North Island sees temperatures in the high teens or low twenties. The coolest spots will be where there is some cloud and onshore winds from the west, this mainly being Southland and the West Coast with temperatures in the mid teens.
