NSW & ACT are especially colder than average today, in fact over 8 degrees below normal at the warmest point of the day. The southerly flow – which has spread eastwards across Australia over the past few days – means Sydney has some fairly miserable daytime temperatures for this time of year. In fact, Sydney looks to be much cooler than Auckland will be for Friday and the weekend:
Daytime Maximum Temperatures:
Sydney: Fri: 18C, Sat: 17C, Sun: 18C, Mon: 19C
Auckland: Fri: 23C, Sat: 22C, Sun: 22C, Mon: 23C
Australia’s capital is also colder than NZ’s today and tomorrow:
Canberra: Fri: 15C, Sat: 17C
Wellington: Fri: 19C, Sat: 20C
Sydney also has plenty of rain coming for Friday and Saturday then tapers off to drizzle or showers by Sunday. Monday looks dry for Sydney but again next week, from Tuesday, back come the rain clouds. In contrast Auckland is dry until Tuesday, but then rain or showers are also likely there too across the rest of next week.
