Super 15 and Olympics weather outlook

> From the WeatherWatch archives

The Chiefs will be looking for their first Super Rugby title tonight as they take on the Sharks, and they will likely be doing it on a wet field.

Showers have been falling on Hamilton on and off throughout the day, so the field is already likely to be wet.  As we go through the evening hours, the more substantial rainfall that was seen earlier today is not likely to redevelop.  However, light showers will move through, keeping the field wet.  However, some light rain gear should keep you protected.

The match starts at 7:35pm at Waikato Stadium in Hamilton

On the other side of the planet, wet weather is expected for much of this weekend’s Olympic events.  Showers are likely Saturday and Sunday (local time).  Thunderstorms are also a possibility, with the best chance of thundery and heavy falls from just north of London.  Temperatures should top out right around 20 degrees.
