A fairly settled day again for most of New Zealand today due to anticyclonic conditions.

For the North Island it is quite sunny however expect cloud along the east coast (Gisborne to Wairarapa) which then breaks to some sun in the afternoon, there may even be a touch of drizzle about Gisborne this morning before clearing. Westerly winds in the west and east to southeasterly winds in the east.

Some cloud drifts into the Bay Of Plenty and Coromandel overnight which may bring a drizzle patch or two otherwise mainly dry.

The South Island is quite sunny, light winds at first then east to northeast winds pick up this afternoon along the east coast. Westerly winds along the West Coast.
