NZ is in the squash zone of wind today with a band of rain also moving over drought zones.

Rainfall totals vary and while not an overly wet day for everyone it’s still one of the better chances this year to see rain in the drought areas.

Winds will be strong and up to gale in exposed places.

Hi Phil, well Im sorry but think the forecast is sooo wrong, here in Levin, weve had 1mm if your lucky, yes its warm at 18dec , zero wind , cloudy. But well thats it , and yet you and met service have us for heavy rain , wind and even dare I say it thunder storms ,
