It’s another cold start across the country but high pressure is growing over the nation and pushing the last of Donna’s remnants well east of the North Island.
There may still be a few coastal showers around the Gisborne/Mahia Peninsula area but they should mainly be out at sea.
A slight tilt from southerly to south westerly may see a few more clouds in western areas (after a stunning clear Saturday).
Upper North Island:
Mostly Sunny, light winds. May be a shower around East Cape/Gisborne, but clearing. Southerlies also fade around Gisborne.
Highs: 14 to 17
Lower North Island:
Mostly light winds. A mix of sunny areas and cloudy areas (clouds perhaps a bit more likely in western coastal areas). Chance of an early frost around Central Plateau.
Highs: 13 to 16
Upper South Island:
May be an early frost inland then Mostly Sunny with light winds. A few cloudy areas possible.
Highs: 12 to 15
Lower South Island:
May be an early frost inland then Mostly Sunny with light winds. A few cloudy areas possible.
Highs: 10 to 13
