Friday was a windy day, now we have the coldest day or two coming in and it also comes with another surge of windy south to south west winds which don’t ease nationwide until Monday evening.
ALL OF NZ:
Rain and showers along the western coastline of both islands, some squally falls with hail. Strong west to south west winds, turning more SW by night. Winter conditions in Southland, Otago, Fiordland with snow to low levels, heavy snow above 300m for a time. Snow in North Canterbury may also be heavy above 400m at night. Snow around the Central North Island too, may affect the Desert Road and surrounding State Highways. Showers, dry spells and gusty winds elsewhere.
