Sunday’s national forecast – A cooler Autumn change sweeps up NZ (+9 Maps)

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Temperatures drop across NZ today as a south to south west change and crumbling cold front move northwards. The front will fall apart over the North Island with some in the north and north east receiving no showers at all.

In northern NZ, like Auckland, daytime highs will be down a couple or few degrees on the past day. But in the lower South Island some places will be down several degrees on yesterday.

As this cooler change sweeps through there may be a few isolated thunderstorms around central New Zealand.

Winds will be blustery with gales in some exposed places.

Have a great Sunday – enjoy the extra freedom as the nation drops down a Covid alert level from 6am!
