Lower North Island

Cloudy periods in the east with south to southeasterly breezes, morning drizzle clearing. Sunny spells about Wellington with southerly winds. Out west expect mostly sunny weather with southeasterly winds, a little fresh at
times about Taranaki and Kapiti.

Upper South Island

Morning cloud breaks away to mostly sunny weather in the afternoon, light winds and afternoon
sea breezes. There may be a drizzle patch or two early on in the east. Nelson is
looking mostly sunny all day.

Lower South Island

Any early drizzle clears about coastal Otago, morning cloud then breaks away to mostly sunny
weather with afternoon sea breezes.  Elsewhere expect mostly sunny weather,
light winds and afternoon sea breezes about coastal areas.
