Sunday’s national forecast

> From the WeatherWatch archives

High pressure will bring another settled day to most of the country.  There will still be a few spots that see some light precipitation.

One of those spots is, not surprisingly, Northland.  There is likely to be some sunshine this morning, but clouds will quickly fill back in during the morning hours.  A few showers are possible from mid-afternoon.

Showers may also be found about the deep south.  Inland Southland and Central Otago could both see some light precipitation this morning.  The chances for precip will diminish as the day wears on.

The balance of the North Island will see a mix of sun and clouds.  The balance of the South Island will see a mainly sunny sky with the exception of Westland where there should be plenty of clouds.

Highs across the country will range from 14 to 18.
