Windier weather moves up the country today, boosting temperatures towards 30 degrees for some, low to mid 20s for many others.
Most of NZ will be warmer than average, although clouds will thicken in the South Island as the cold front approaches with rain developing. (Temperatures tumble by around 15 degrees for some in the south on Monday!).
Hottest weather today will be in the east of both islands.
Northern NZ won’t have such strong winds, but cloudy weather may spread through at times with another warm day for many.
A few afternoon downpours will again bubble up through the North Island interior and like Saturday a couple may turn to Severe Thunderstorms.
