Today will be similar to Saturday in an number of regions with warmer than normal weather continuing in the northern and eastern sides of the North Island while the western half of the South Island leans cooler than average.
Snow higher up in the Southern Alps will be heavy at times.
Waves on the West Coast will be significant – with wave heights over 7 metres possible. People should avoid beaches, especially around high tide.
