Sunday’s national forecast

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Light winds around New Zealand today means the weather won’t be too dynamic with just a few showers here and there.

Winds in both main islands look light although the easterly flow in the lower South Island does continue – but it’s fairly light.

Most regions will have cloudy periods. Showers today will be mostly light but a few heavier downpours are possible, especially in the South Island later.

Highs: 11 to 20 (coolest in the lower South Island, mildest in the upper North Island).
