Upper North Island

Areas of rain with easterly winds, fairly breezy especially about coastal Bay Of Plenty, Coromandel and the Auckland region. Northland sees some morning rain clear then this afternoon showers develop again possibly heavy with thunderstorms.

Lower North Island

Showers or drizzle patches with easterly winds, dry spells at times in the west (i.e. Manawatu).

Upper South Island

Cloudy in the east with showers or drizzle patches, areas of rain about Nelson and Marlborough especially this evening. The West Coast sees mainly cloudy skies and some rain at times. Winds mostly from the east.

Lower South Island

Mostly cloudy for Otago, some drizzle near the coast. Southland and Fiordland may see sunny spells. Easterly winds.
